A Gentle Night uses rolling apps. You may post your app at any time as a comment, using Character Name | Canon as the comment's subject line. Paste your full application into the comment. Do not link to your app. Be sure to make your application friendly to those who may be canonblind by explaining canon specific terms.
Apps will be reviewed beginning on the third Thursday of each month, usually over the weekends.
Our Jewel RNG is permanently open, and you may request a Jewel via RNG at any time. If you don't want to try your luck, you are welcome to choose your own Jewel as long as it is no darker than Opal. Any app requesting RNG (the mods will not provide Jewel options at the time of application) OR any app submitted with a Green, Sapphire, or Red Jewel that did not receive that Jewel through RNG will be automatically rejected. All applications will be screened. Please make sure your Jewel roll was made in the app round you're apping in. If you rolled in February, for example, your roll is no longer valid and will need to be re-rolled.

MAY APPLICATION QUEUE
CHARACTER
Name Your character's full name.
Canon Your character's canon.
Age Your character's age. Remember: your character must be at least 16 years old or have the mental capacity of a 16 year old.
Birthright Jewel Your character's Brithright Jewel, determined either by you on your own or RNG when you placed your hold.
Dreams made flesh What boon does your character ask for from the Queen of Hayll? Remember, she is not a god and cannot alter reality.
Canon point Describe the point in canon from which your character was pulled. You may lead with an episode name/number or something like "the end of book 2," but please also provide context.
Canon Powers Use this section to talk about your character's superhuman powers. Any mundane skill that can be learned (like being especially sneaky) doesn't need to go here. This means that a character like James Bond or Batman wouldn't need to put anything here, because their abilities (while top-tier) aren't superhuman. Consider how your character's Jewel may impact powers, either by increasing the potency of an ability or weakening it. Remember that Opal is the equivalent to canonical powers, and the Jewel essentially acts as a battery and power source for all powers or magical weirdness. Please do not link to wikis in this section, as the mod team would largely like to see powers divorced from in-universe jargon and such things as game mechanics (for video games and TTRPGs) as those do not exist in Draega.
Personality Describe your character's personality, considering what strengths made the Queen of Hayll select them as a hero and how their weaknesses can be utilized as a character arc for obtaining their Jewel of rank. You need not be explicit about either of those things, but this section of the app should be written with those concepts in mind.
History A link will do just fine. If informational material is scarce or is written laden with canon-specific jargon, please provide a short summary as needed.

basic overview
Molly was introduced to the group that would eventually become the “Mighty Nein” as a promoter for the Fletching and Moondrop Carnival of Curiosities. When the group went to the carnival together, one of the acts was disturbed by a man and a woman turning into zombies. The group fought them off together, though both they and the carnival came under suspicion for the crimes. Working together to clear their names, Molly and the group discovered the cause of the zombies was the “devil-toad” Kylre, a member of the carnival, and they chased him to a small island where they killed him, bringing his head back as proof. Afterwards, the group agreed to continue traveling together.
In the town of Alfield, they stopped a gnoll attack (and Molly learned there was more to his powers than he thought when he summoned his Rite of the Dawn for the first time) and agreed to take a job of eliminating the gnoll threat and bringing back the people who had been kidnapped for a large sum of money. They descended into a mine where they eliminated the threat and returned as heroes.
The group eventually made their way to the sprawling city of Zadash where they got caught up in political intrigue and ended up in bed with the mob. It was here that Molly met Cree the Tabaxi who called him “Lucien” and referenced a series of things from his past. After successfully navigating the conversation with obfusciation, he revealed to the group that he has no memory of anything before two years prior to meeting them.
The group decide to do some work for “The Gentleman”- head of the Myriad (a criminal organization) out of Zadash in order to get them out of some trouble due to the aforementioned political intrigue, investigating an abandoned research facility, and then, later, leaving Zadash and heading out into the world again to do two more favors. The first of which involved a trip to the Labenda Swamp where, after meeting a young Kenku girl named Kiri, a dragon-blooded sorceress named Cali, and lost their guide to a venom troll, they successfully secured the Gentleman’s safehouses which were overrun with merrow. After taking care of the infestation, Molly was gifted Summer’s Dance- a scimitar that they found in the loot. From here, the group continued on to their next stop in Shady Creek Run, making a stop over in the town of Hupperdook, where they attend a gnome party, win a drinking contest, get stolen from, and then do a couple of good deeds for the locals solidifying them as starting to become a true heroing party… despite some of their more antihero tendencies.
Upon waking up the next morning, the group finds that three of their people have been captured and set out to look for them, accompanied by a dwarf named Keg who explains that the people who took their friends are called the Iron Shepherds- slavers out of Shady Creek Run. The group eventually track down the slavers and ambush them on the road, but their plans go south when they realize not all of Keg’s information on them was correct, and they are soon overpowered. Molly stands up to Lorenzo, the leader, attempting to blind him with one of his Blood Maledicts while highly injured, and knocks himself unconscious, allowing Lorenzo to deliver a fatal blow by driving his glaive into his chest.

[As one can expect from anyone from a less-than-modern society, it takes Molly considerable time and effort to get the Far-Caster working, but when he does… Ohh it’s on.]
Normally, I’d wouldn’t touch anything like this without Caleb around to see what it is… Or Nott to check for traps- which is why you should always try to travel with a party. One person alone does not have the skills to… Do whatever it is I’m doing.
[He laughs. A little awkwardly.]
But here I am. I think this is something for communication or at least I’m taking a wild guess and hoping for the best. To be honest… I was not in the best of places when I was given the run-down on everything in this world. I’m more of a learn on my feet type of person. Uh… [He sucks in a breath, waiting for something, and then, with much exasperation, adds:]
You can reply to this message….
